Breached

I saw the rainstorm
Before it breached our city walls.
It didn’t take long to wet our shores.
Pellets of water hitting like ice in its hard weight.
Like little hammers falling
Grand in it’s velocity
Flesh scattered on the ground.
Remnants of cries and laughter fill the air.
In disaster, coins roll
And fellows fade away
