Omens

I found the light,
Hidden in the chaos
Thoughts surrounding
Drowning me in seas
Overwhelmed by darkness

Peace was the stress
My father gave to me
Raised up by fears
So many years
Locked in a trance
A dance with my demons
Seemingly frail
Resting upon my knees
Begging, pleading
But.
Welcoming

His . . .Hand
. . .

No rest for the wicked they said
As his eyes gleamed in the shadows

Soulless holes of grace
But I digress, in the temptation
My heart didn’t wait.
It fell harder
Than the snow last fall
Early winter they said
As omens lay upon his call.
